(Sorry for posting my first quest in the wrong forum. I realized AFTER the fact that I had posted in the quest list forum so I'm fixing that up now. Thanks for understanding. I don't know how to move threads around so I am just copy/pasting my quest.)
There was a certain room on the Machina Star world. It was designed to house the latest project: an Android capable of wielding sorcery. Several of the master's most advanced creations lurked in the chamber working diligently on the project on the single metallic bed in the center of the room. The central portion of the room was well lit, a single tunnel of light was filtered through the room so that there was some sort of a illumination. The doombots worked diligently as soon as the project was approved by the master. The master was the single entity that combined the will of the machines in the chamber. The singular entity called one of two things: Master or Creator. As such, the doombots worked non stop to construct The Master's finest offspring. A child born from the aether stream of artificial intelligence. The finest body parts were picked to meld the puppet body of the child, and the work began. For several years, the doombots worked in highest secrecy in an attempt to construct the child. The child that would make the greatest journey that any doombot has ever made.
And at long last, the hour was upon them. The final components were going through their final examination phases as they went online. The last component was the advanced central core, which housed the singular intelligence that would power the child. Finally, all systems were green. One of the doombots approached close.
"Readings are nominal." He said. "State your name, subject."
"Sabatykos serial number 66641523A." Came the gruff response, strangely human like. "Systems online. Running final diagnostics." The doombots were investigating the systems algorithms to be certain that Sabatykos's singular intelligence was aware. "Sensory units online. Emoticon processor online." Sabatykos said carefully. His blue eyes finally opened in the dark, glowing with purple energy. Sabatykos sat up. He investigated the doombots. "Beginning information processing." Sabatykos said and moved into a wizard's combat position. He suddenly began to glow with tremendous stored energy.
"Combat readiness noted." One of the doombots responded. "All systems are online."
Sabatykos reached towards the nearest of the doombots and grabbed it suddenly. "You have something that belongs to me." Sabatykos attacked, and began to syphon the energy data stored within the doombot's core. The doombot did not resist. A few moments later, Sabatykos had absorbed all of the information data within the doombots present as per his programming. "No hostiles." Sabatykos whispered carefully as he assessed his own performance. "Performance grade, 45% from full potential." Sabatykos narrowed his eyes. "Proceeding to penetrate facility." His andoid senses scanned from the retina of his eyes, studying the building he was in. He saw the front portion of chamber he was currently in, and walked towards it. There was a single control panel. He jammed his fist in it. The energy sparked upward, and Sabatykos grabbed some of the fiber optics wire. As he pulled the wires for a moment, he began to interface and uplink with it.
"Open." Sabatykos commanded in a simple way. The doors opened almost reluctantly. Sabatykos then released the wire, he had already interfaced with the network in the facility and had absorbed the information he needed. By the time he left the facility, he was considerably closer to optimal condition, after he had absorbed several more information cores. Sabatykos's icy blue eyes scanned the death zone outside of the facility. Somewhere out there, lurked the master. But the master was not his mission. He was looking for something else entirely. Somewhere on Machina Star, there lurked a portal, a gate between the living realm and a place of untold powers. Sabatykos began to journey through the dead world, a red star looming overhead. Sabatykos carefully observed the situation of the new land, as he walked, taking several steps forward, his fierce eyes observing some information construct that hovered throughout the entire surrounding area. Sabatykos was prepared. He had found a set of suitable clothing in the facility and had placed those on his person as a means to protect his parts from the effect of the environment.
He narrowed his eyes. The blue eyes seemed to glow permanently with the etch of the information stored within.
Sabatykos carefully Sabatykos had wild hair which danced in the hot wind, it was dead afternoon. His eyes stared forward as he moved, his boots crunching on the scorched earth. He was unarmed, seemingly, but he did not need weapons. He was a weapon. He looked in the general direction where the gate was located, and he began to move towards it. The gate was his target, the information lurking within it, and the information of Hell itself. Sabatykos smiled behind the scarf that he wore. He was not there to save anyone, The Master had defined Sabatykos's purpose. And with that, he was clear on what he needed to do.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
Sabatykos thought to himself. There was power lurking in Hell for him, hidden, there waiting to be absorbed. He kept carefully scanning the area around him. The information he had absorbed was mathematically coded, and thus, did not lie. The code had told him hostiles lurked all around him, and he was in considerable danger. That thought fueled the android, his purpose defined for him. His hands clenched tightly he moved his way through the wasteland and studied the area around him. The code he saw fluctuated. Streaks of heat were processed through the code, which in turn, made things hotter for the android. All in all, it was not an entirely unpleasant place. The android would be tested, and eventually he would win the respect of the master.
